Leaders + Women’s Sport Collective

Leaders and the Women’s Sport Collective announce enhanced collaboration for Leaders Week London 2023 in October at Twickenham Stadium

Leaders in Sport and the Women’s Sport Collective are thrilled to announce an enhanced, curated programme of experiences aimed to provide women working within the global sports industry with the tools to take a seat in the Board Room.

The theme for Leaders Week 2023 is a ‘a new era in sport’. There is change happening at pace in consumer behaviours, funding in sport, new formats and properties, ethical considerations and a new generation of leadership skills.

It’s never been more critical to navigate what’s coming tomorrow and equip yourself with the skills, knowledge and connection to be a part of the future of sport.

The Leaders Meet Diversity Series and Women’s Sport Collective provide free, year-round access to resources for those working in sport. Having collectively built communities of over 6,000 women working in sport, this new programme will  equip them with the connections and skills they need to be a leader in the new era of sport.

Leaders are once again offering 50 women a chance to attend Leaders Week as a complimentary guest and take advantage of the tailored programme of activities.

To take advantage - you simply need to email mholland@leadersinsport.com and share a couple of sentences explaining your aspirations for what you’d particularly like to get out of attending. Applications will close on Friday 19 May 2023.

What They Said – Hear from Women who Benefited in 2022

Attending Leaders 2022 lived up to the hype. A major event in the sports calendar, it brings together sport industry professionals from across the world. Meeting up with old friends and connecting with new ones in person is so valuable and builds exciting partnerships. It helps ensure I am across the issues I am advising on.

I really enjoyed attending several talks on a range of interesting and topical issues within sport, highlights included sessions on rugby and football ownership. As we do more and more in this space, I delivered training to my team, featuring key takeaways from the event.”

Harriet Leach, Legal Director, Onside Law

“It was fantastic to be a part of a group of current and future women leaders in our industry and to all come together in what has traditionally felt like a very male room.  Laura & the Leaders team have done an excellent job at curating content that focuses on this change and programmes like this help to amplify our collective voice.

Thank you to the Women’s Sport Collective for pushing for opportunities like these and for helping to support the women coming through in our industry.”

Rowena Samarasinhe, Director, Gen-Sport
